The author was an Indian seafarer, and now going back to sea after a gap of almost 25 years, to write better on the subject. MLC 2010 will not improve things unless you, the seafarer, are heard.

Uniformed services in India and the Enron issue - similarities?
Not directly related to the Indian Merchant Navy, but close enough, and a sensible read.
No takers for this post in Merchant Navy. The Enron link has fabulous story. People should read, i would like to recommend too.
